Adam Chaffins - The Big 615 Presents The StormeCast

What I love about that song so much, King of Coaldust County, is I'm a huge Charlie Daniels fan.

Oh, cool, man.

It just reminds me of the great stories that country music has told throughout its history.

And we seem to be in a little bit of a storytelling drought.

And so for you to bring back just a genuine great

story.

I appreciate that, man.

Yeah, that's the stuff I grew up on, you know, all the Dennis Lindy songs.

Oh,

God.

The best guy ever.

Yeah, and when you realize, as a kid, you just hear these

artists sing those, and I didn't know so much.

Queen of my double wide trail, John Deere Green.

Yeah,

you just don't know so much about where that came from.

You think it's from the artist.

And then when you start learning about Lindyville, this little village that he made and all these- The map on his wall.

Yeah, it's just like putting it all together.

And you know what's crazy? It's really funny.

When I was younger, I probably didn't write so many story songs.

And I remember playing- some songs from my grandfather who was always really supportive but he said he's like you know adam some people like songs with a story to it and i think from that day i've just always been trying to write the perfect story song um this is close to it yeah i appreciate that man um yeah this record was was about you know putting story songs on there and songs from the heart we have quite a few of them on

this project yeah you do and it's it's all over the map so there's a map reference again but we were talking about it before we started recording and it's it's literally a large palette of sonic influences

yeah

for sure from everything from blues to jimmy buffett to barry white to traditional crooner pop yeah you know trailer trash Um,
