Okay, so the Monarch obviously has a very complicated life cycle, right? Because of the enormous geographic area that they cover, the multiple generations, so they need host plants throughout the entirety of their range.
and the very like really pretty restrictive overwintering spaces right like i i know i like obviously the eastern population the one that we think of as going you know the one that we know goes to mexico like it's like the the oyamel fur like forest right that's like their main spot which is not a huge space correct it's it's not like a yeah um Is that the same for both the Florida and the Western? Like, are they going to like a really specific area year after year?
But it also means that if we lose those spaces, it's going to be really, really hard for the monarchs to recover from that.
Uh, this last year and the last like five or so years, they covered an area of like two to three hectares.
That is their, their primary area that they are hanging out in is two to three or two, yeah, two to three hectares.
