In the case of Amelia Earhart, we don't like when people who are famous suddenly disappear.

Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart, we don't know.

[upbeat music] It's very difficult to know who she actually is.

I mean, that's one of the challenges of writing this book is, you know, we, we think we know Amelia Earhart, but we know a creation, which is basically a creation of, um, her husband's careful management of what she should be.

And what they did not allow were for imperfections.

And I'm a woman, I'm a mom, I'm not perfect.

I've certainly, you can ask my daughter that or my husband that, but, um, Amelia had a lot of sex, too.

Why can't Amelia Earhart have a lot of sex? Why can't Amelia Earhart, um, be scheming sometimes?

Sure.
