Hi, my name is Suavamir, I'm an alcoholic.
And Tom, thank you for asking me to speak.
I'm very happy to do service in my home group.
I co-chaired the Atlantic Group Big Book meeting on Wednesdays, 15th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue, so I know how it is finding speakers, so that's a plug.
Yeah, my sobriety date is February 7th, 2024.
And this is amazing.
I mean, I literally, I sat in the back there counting days.
And the first time I came to this meeting, I was mesmerized.
I was like, wow, this is amazing.
This is AA.
And, you know, people were happy talking to each other.
The speaker sounded very smart.
I'm like, wow, this is, these people are here to get me sober.
Yeah.
I really thought that's what it was.
Of course, more to be revealed.
This is the sum of all parts and it's the message of carrying one alcoholic,
helping another.
I came here at 46.
I thought my life was over.
It's really just beginning.
I sat in the back, now I kind of sit in the middle, and today I'm here up front.
So I progressed.
This is when I would talk about the progression of my alcoholism and the progression of my sobriety.
