How can you grow an abundant firm when traditional search engines are changing? Host Michelle Weinstein welcomes guest Christian Jones, CEO of…
Christian JonesGuestMichelle WeinsteinHostUh, it hasn't happened directly with us, but I've ha- I've had someone say that, you know, someone found us in, um, ChatGPT.
So it, you know, it's almost like we've been in a Reddit thread, um, but I haven't had someone come say that directly to me, but I have had a couple clients and other people in different industries have that happen where they say, "Oh, yeah, someone found us because ChatGPT recommended it," or, you know, as part of one of the answers.

But I think for you, Michelle, and if you're a tax planner, preparer, CPA, you're in the tax space and you're listening to this podcast, clearly you're listening to Michelle, uh, because you're probably established.

... "I wanna hit the ground running with a great sales system out of the gate." But a lot of people, I would guess, work with you similar to us.

They've made it as far as they've made it on referrals and their own sales intuition, and they get to this point where there's parts of their business they need to delegate, they need help with.

And so at best, when I talk to someone from the marketing side of things- We will hear things like, "Yeah, referrals is mostly it, and I'm hitting the ceiling of growth." Well, traditionally, the conversation from us would be, "Okay, our program is to do a number of things," and I won't go through all of them, but certainly on the list is, "Let's get you in front of your ideal lead where they are looking." And that historically are, you know, places like Google, um, both organically, so showing up on Google for free because your website's built well, you've got a great Google page, you've got great reviews.

And kind of as you said in your intro, there's a new sheriff in town that is disrupting even for us as marketers, kind of like, uh, we gotta go move and shift where we're getting our clients and customers visible because the tax planner that we're serving, their leads are increasingly going to ChatGPT or Gemini or Claude and asking different questions than they ever ask Google.

And so I think, again, you're going to, for yourself, start to find leads that say, "I found you on ChatGPT." We're already seeing that for ourselves at Tax Pro Marketer, like accountants or CPAs that find us-

... through ChatGPT, but how you make that happen, it's, it's not an accident as you'd expect.
