Can Christians Take Steroids?

Something I've been thinking about, a fascinating conversation with a brother in Christ two days ago.

And I'll keep his name off this.

But, you know, we were talking.

He said, you know, I went to the doctor the other day.

And the doctor said, hey, you're a little low on testosterone.

So I'm going to get you a little prescription here.

No big deal.

Get you back up.

Get your levels back up.

And he is about 40, 40 years old.

And he said, he told the doctor, no, thank you.

The doctor's like, what? He said, no, no, I'm, I'm a Christian and I, I want to feel the result of my aging.

And so every time that one level is low, whatever it might be, I don't want to constantly for the rest of my life, starting now about 40, chasing my levels and trying to even everything out so that I feel a certain way.

Actually,

this is my

friend.

He's unique in this way.

I love him for that, because of that perspective.

He's like, no, I want to feel.

I want to feel my body aging.

And I texted him after, and I said, hey, man, I...

I'm encouraged by our conversation because I honestly have never even thought about testosterone in that way.

And I don't personally take testosterone, but I don't think if the doctor was going to give it to me, I don't think I would be the guy that denies it.

And so he replied and said, yeah, I've been thinking a lot about this lately and it's a complicated ethical issue, but it's 2026 and everything feels like a complicated ethical issue now.

And I said, at its core, I texted back, So good.
