The 200 Year Life Project: The Ultimate Longevity Journey
Oct 16, 2026 · 53 min · 10 segments
Ask most people if they want to live to 200 and they say no before you finish the sentence. Richard Rossi, founder of the DaVinci 50 (D50) longevity mastermind, says it comes down to three fears…
Gary LelandHostI founded, uh, a group, which you're now a part of, called DaVinci50, which is a mist- mastermind, very small one, very exclusive one, of 50 individuals or couples who are all rowing in the same direction I am, which is looking at health extension and life extension, and taking advantage of this truly, uh, unprecedented, uh, era that we're in.
We're incredibly lucky to be alive right at this moment, where so much research is becoming real therapy.
So I wanted to be coached by the best in the world, and I wanted a group of like-minded people to be with me in a community, and I decided there wasn't one, so I started one back in 2020.

So after 35 years, basically, of putting together, uh, high achievers, you got the bug, I'm just gonna say the bug, [laughs] for life longevity, 'cause that's a, that's a rabbit hole in itself that you can go down.

Um, so then you decided since you weren't able to find the, what you needed, you did your own.
The more I looked into it, the more I realized, wait a minute, this is an unprecedented time in human history, and the biggest problem we all have is we need to change the way that we think about health extension and life extension.
And to be honest, the very, very, very great majority of people are not ready to do that.
So I needed to find the few that were willing to take advantage of what was really out there now, uh, and change their whole way of thinking, and that's the group we put together.

Well, you're right about the fact that a lot of people aren't willing to accept that, um, that they can live a lot longer.

I don't believe it, but when I tell them, you know, my shtick is I want to live to 200, when I tell people that, you know, first of all, they laugh at me 'cause they think I'm just joking.

And when I convince them I'm serious, they tell me they wouldn't want to live to 200.

Um, so I, I have to take them for their word on it when they say they wouldn't want to live that long, um, 'cause they don't wanna work the rest of their lives.

And I could see that if you're a coal miner in West Virginia, you probably don't wanna be going down 1,000 feet underground for another 130 years.

And I'm kind of like, "Well, I don't plan on dragging a wheelchair [laughs] along with me to however long I live." But most people aren't ready to accept that.

And, uh, I personally, I think, yeah, I told you this when we first met, I, I didn't think that life longevity was possible yet.

You know, I, of course, I thought you could extend it a year or two, but I, not like I think you can soon.

Um, but I thought it would happen, but I thought it would happen to my kids, who are 40.
