In Episode 3 of the 2A Career Field Strategy Podcast Series, we hit the ground running with updates from Kickoff 2.0, proving that "the working groups are where the action is at." Have questions…
Dan and IanHostShetlerGuestTeam, the last time we spoke in January, there was a lot of movement being made in developing the finer details of the strategy.
Can you give us a brief update on how everything has been going? To kick this off, I would like to kick that question over to the biggest Ohio State fan I know, Chief McCarty.
Go Blue, appreciate you.
Let me say, since we did the 1.0 in the first series of podcasts, we didn't slow down.
If anything, we picked up speed.
January, we did 2.0 kickoff.
And the working groups, they're all together, and they're getting after it big time.
I'll tell you what, though, not only that, we've been on some road shows.
We went to McGuire when we did our enlisted development team, saw the airmen out there, talked to them, headed down to Dover, hit up that base right there since it was on the way back.
Definitely got to interact with airmen there.
And we're learning something everywhere we go.
We're taking feedback along the way.
We've also went out to Barksdale, seen some folks out there, and Luke.
right? And Nellis.
So we're getting around.
We're going to continue to do that as much as possible.
We'll take the feedback face-to-face, but there's other ways to get feedback too, right? We're taking feedback from the first series of podcasts.
People get on there, hit that link that you guys provide, taking that.
We've also done the pulse check, two alpha pulse check we sent out.
And that's been a massive hit, home run, over 7,000 responses in just a few months.
Unbelievable.
And we use that along with the exit survey and the retention survey data we get from A1.
And the members in the working groups that are all over the world, they're getting feedback from the airmen that work with them peer-to-peer and sending that up to the working group.
So the network's pretty extensive.
We're greatly appreciative of all of it that we receive.
