How Can Burnham Help You?

As

we know, Andy Burnham has officially succeeded Keir Starmer as Prime Minister today, the seventh in a decade.

In his inaugural speech in Downing Street, Burnham said Britain needs to show the world it can regain stability.

He promised a new political and economic model, including measures to help people with the cost of living.

His new cabinet has also been taking shape with John Healey as a surprise into the job of the Chancellor.

The former Defence Secretary, as we know, resigned last month in protest at Starmer's government's alleged underfunding of the Defence Investment Plan.

And that was seen as really the shot that took the knees out from under Keir Starmer with John Healey resigning, which paved the way for for Andy Burnham to enter Downing Street.

Plus, Ed Miliband has been appointed Foreign Secretary, one of the big jobs, one of the four big jobs of state, while Shabana Mahmood is to remain as Home Secretary.

So that's just some of the changes.

We've seen West Streeting actually go into number 10 and wondering what reward he's going to get for not challenging Andy Burnham.
