Sports... are everywhere and we had plenty of action in the usl championship we're going to talk in length about lexington big time because what they achieved at tampa was you know awesome awesome work they're starting to hit their stride much later than i think a lot of people anticipated sporting jack still searching for their first win of the regular season But for Brooklyn, they made history on the road in Pittsburgh, so we have that to talk about.

We have a lot of also milestones, 150 appearances.

We also have some 100th appearances as well we need to get into.

June Player of the Month is out.

The shortlist voting has concluded yesterday.

We have four players on the list, Detroit, Charleston, Rhode Island, as well as Oakland.

So we'll get into that too.

And if you're enjoying the show, it's your first time listening, make sure to give a nice review on whatever platform you're using to listen to the podcast.

Um, any star you want fine by me.

I really appreciate everyone always tuning in, especially at this sort of, you know, middle of the season, summer things are busy, but hopefully you can still enjoy this audio.

So for June player of the month, I mentioned four players names.

As you know, the fan vote has ran into typically, uh, the Sunday, uh, uh that when it's announced so it's announced on a thursday then it comes out on a sunday in terms of the vote concluding 51 of the vote goes to the fan 25 of the technical committee 24 of the national media panel of the usl it will conclude uh on thursday and then it'll be announced on july 9th so here are your four nominees for the player of the month in june darren smith for detroit city the south african forward recorded five goals one assist and 224 minutes of action tying a usl championship single game record with his five goal performance against sporting club jacksonville while ending the month nine shots overall he just marked his 100th appearance for detroit the guy is making headlines if you are looking for detroit uh i'd say jersey at the moment this season you're gifting it to someone they're getting into the sport of detroit Get a Darren Smith jersey, 100%.

Emilio Icaza for Charleston.

The veteran midfielder led the battery with five goal contributions over the month, scoring twice, logging three assists in 409 minutes across the regular season in Pringstar's USL Cup, while also logging nine chances created overall.

JJ Williams for Rhode Island.

The powerful center forward recording two goals, two assists across two appearances, recording eight shots, two chances created overall, while helping Rhode Island win both of its outings in the league and the Pringstar's USL Cup.

You have to remember, you know, imagine also June had a mid season break too.

So not a lot of games being played, but JJ Williams making account where it mattered most.

Peter Wilson's the other one for Oakland, 2025 golden boot winner, recording three goals, one assistant, two league outings, helping roots claim four points to move into third place within their standings, logging eight shots and three chances created, uh, throughout the process.

So those are your four.

Have fun if you already voted, but also cross your fingers if they represent your team.

We'll get into then the two games that happened before the weekend's action.

We'll go into depth, obviously, with Tampa and Lexington, taking a look in terms of, you know, what I saw across the rondo and other things.

A bit of a slower week, just kind of things getting back into action.

over past the mid-season break.
