The Executive Yuan has approved the AI dividend shared with all citizens plan, budgeting two hundred and thirty-five point seven billion New Taiwan dollars to hand every citizen ten thousand New Taiwan dollars.
Premier Chao-te Cheng said that if the Legislative Yuan passes the twenty twenty-seven central government budget by January fifth and President William Lai promulgates it by January twentieth, distribution can begin before Lunar New Year.
Registration would open as early as January twenty-fifth, with the first deposits landing January twenty-sixth.
Citizens will have five ways to collect the money: direct bank deposit, registration-based deposit, ATM cash withdrawal, post office cash pickup, or roster-based distribution for special groups.
Most people will have about six months to claim through August thirty-first, twenty twenty-seven.
The Finance Ministry said newborns born by December thirty-first, twenty twenty-seven will also qualify, bringing the total to roughly twenty-three point five three million beneficiaries and urged people to guard against fraud by calling the one six five anti-scam hotline with any suspicious messages.
