Stu, what are your favorite twists reflecting back over the 50 seasons of Survivor? And twists come in different forms, of course.

What are some memorable ones to you, Stu?
Oh, that is such a hard question off the top of my head.
The
Medallion of Power.
To be honest, I think the really specific ones never were my thing.
Like Super Idols and yeah, like the hourglasses.
And anytime they made a specific item twist... wasn't necessarily what I look forward to.
I just think the implementation of hidden immunity idols is so key to making this game interesting.
Even if most of the time they screw you, because people play them wrong so often, it just provides so much unknown, right? So I think keeping the number of idols variable from season to season i think is the best thing that the show's ever done just to ensure that players can't ever predict truly what's going to happen um i if there's something specific that i was i were to say i really enjoy i actually kind of like mergatory um where they they say okay we're splitting into two groups and you have to earn your buff i find that really interesting um It's played out in-

But I personally really enjoy it.
So I hope we still see it randomly here and there.

Melinda, any thoughts on twists?
Yeah, see, to be honest, I feel like there's more that I would rule out.
I would be okay if nobody ever lost their vote.
I think that your vote is your currency and you're not able to play properly.
I don't know if we can be like, wow, that was amazing because that person didn't have a vote.
um i will say one of the like sometimes the now i feel like it's different if someone steals your vote because there's still the same number of votes so i'm okay more with that advantage as opposed to you didn't complete this challenge and so you lost your vote or the beware advantage i did love the twist when um what's it called it's um like safety with power where you're allowed to excuse yourself before tribal because that is also a risk because who knows if you'll still be the target next but i do think that i liked that there are some random things that i like but i would say on the whole i don't like as many very specific twists yeah i just want to see idols used correctly
