And that's what we've seen in our passage, right? We see in our passage God has rescued His king.

Verse 1: "David sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hands of Saul." Now, now we don't actually know when David sang this song.

Uh, but actually, uh, what we do know is this, as we've seen across the books of 1 and 2 Samuel, David surely needed this rescue, right? You know, rescue from the Philistines when he was hiding in the caves, rescue from Saul when Saul was trying to kill him, rescue from this person and that person, and that was the experience of David, right? Take a look at verse 5.

Verse 5, "The waves of death swirled about me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.

The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me." Uh, we're not David, but have you ever felt like this? The waves of death swirling around you.

But see this, as much as this is the experience of David, that David is near death, God really does rescue His king, doesn't He? And actually, more than that, Da- God rescues His king in the most miraculous ways, because David actually compares his rescue to the rescue of the Exodus.

As God revealed Himself in Mount Sinai, and I think we've got a comparison, as God revealed Himself in Mount Sinai, uh, the lands trembled.
