It's a great privilege to be speaking from God's Word this morning.

Man, it's a great privilege to have traveled across the book of 2 Samuel together.

Just imagine that sight.

Uh, thank you, Michelle, for this wonderful Bible reading.

Uh, my name's Caleb, if I haven't met you before.

It's a great privilege to be, uh, preaching from God's word this morning.

I want to begin with a question.

Uh, my question goes something like this: Uh, what does the future look like? Uh, what does the future look like? Uh, not too long ago, I was reading a, a story of a, a family of Italian migrants who had migrated to Australia in the '30s, nearly 100 years ago.

100 years ago, when you, uh, migrated to, uh, Australia, uh, the government would actually give you a house.

As we answer this question of how God is still achieving his purposes this morning, we've got three points.

And our first point is this.

Evil in Saul's house does not frustrate God's purposes.

And immediately we are confronted with this first evil that we see.

It's the evil of adultery.
