Bruce Woodley, who was on one of many sabbaticals from Seeker's Duties, Bruce had always been a folk fan.
And the Seekers, for those who don't know, started performing mainly as a folk quartet at a famous venue in Melbourne called Frank Trainor's Copy Lounge.
My first interest in Australian folk music was, in fact, sparked by the Seekers, who used to play a little gig between Toorak and South Yarra, and it was called, I think it was called the Treble Clef.
And in fact, my parents bought that as an ongoing business, which we ran into the ground very rapidly.
I was a big Seekers fan as a kid, Peter Paul and Marion Seekers, and I heard South Australia and a few other and Dennis O'Reilly and those sort of songs.
