And then what happened was, as soon as I arrived in Australia in 97, I think it was, I was invited to do a part of concert in Queensland University about the music from Indian subcontinent.

And organizers of Woodford Folk Festival was in the audience, Pat and Sim.

And they asked whether I would come to the festival to do my songs.

And since then, I've never seen actually Australian New Year outside Woodford Folk Festival.

So...

So it's been over 30 years and I have never encountered what it feels to be in Australia during New Year.

I love it so much.

And seeing the goanna at the Woodford Folk Festival every single time and being like, man, I'm not going to see the goanna for a third time, am I? Oh, the goanna's

dead!

Yeah, friends of ours would manage their comedy things.

No, exactly.

And we'll have to cross the Woodford Folk Festival off as well.

But other than that.

Maybe the Food and Wine Festival is more our vibe.

So I'm not usually doing my sort of own show that I'm promoting.

So I just – if you have a crowd, you call me – and um so but i'll be i think i'll i'll be at the woodford folk festival this year wow and um and that's fun that's a great gig um and uh I'll be at the Brunswick Picture House in the last two weeks of September for the Cheeky Cabaret.

I feel like I've told you guys about this before, but there are a couple of people that I went to school with that are dead that I know about because I went to Woodford Folk Festival and my friend Renee, bleep, went on basically just like a tirade of being like, oh, my God, you know Franklin? He had the Goku tattoo.

He ran his motorcycle into a tree, decapitated, dead, and his mum bought the chicken shop from across the road from the school.

And I was like, all right, the dead bit was sticking out to me a little bit more.

She's got two young kids, and she's a full-time teacher.

And, uh, and then Steve Cook is the mandolin player who was probably the, I think he's the only musician a- alive who's played every Woodford Folk Festival since it began in '90.

Every single one?

He's played every single one.
