A patient came in, a long-term patient that I've done Botox on forever and filler and other procedures.
And what's the confession? Well, I went to the dermatologist and I had a funny looking mole on my arm and the dermatologist took it off and here it is.
She said, what do you think? And I looked at a wound and I said, okay, there's some things going on here.
So you went to the dermatologist to get a mole looked at and they said it was atypical and needed to come off.
dermatologists are very good at determining this but then they assigned you to the physician's assistant and this is what you have so i looked at the wound on her arm and you know there's a direction that we orient wounds now no one wants a wound right but when we take off a mole we trade a mole For a scar, we excise what's called an ellipse of skin.
And the way plastic surgeons do this is we look at wrinkle lines and folds and natural contours of the skin and we place the resultant scar along one of those wrinkle lines.
But this particular person came in with a wound that went obliquely across a wrinkle line, not with a wrinkle line.
