Stories Behind The Story: Joan Sauers on Film and Mysteries

So, uh, Joan and I have ran into each other a couple of times in the last few months in our office, which has been magnificent, and she's here to talk to us about her new book, and it's called Murder in Thornwood Park.

Joan is an author.

Uh, she's a screenwriter.

Her work spans television, film, and fiction.

She's now based in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

She's the creator of the much-loved Rose McHugh mysteries, blending atmospheric settings with smart, character-driven crime.

Uh, this is her latest book, as I said, Murder in Thornwood Park, and she returns us to the Southern Highlands, where historian turned sleuth, Rose McHugh, is drawn into a chilling decades old mystery.

When a strange inheritance leads her to a crumbling estate with a dark past, Rose uncovers possible links to missing women during World War II.

Not long after, she finds herself on the trail of a long-hidden killer.

It's rich with history, secrets, and a cast of compelling characters.

It's a cozy mystery with a sharp, haunting edge.

It certainly is.

Oh, I love that description, Cheryl.

Can you come with me for all my, uh, launch events? [laughs]

[laughs] I'll give it to you.
