No, I can't say I pictured myself where we are today.
I, I'm a bit of a nomad myself, actually.
I don't feel like I really... think about roots so much.
Like if Adrian said tomorrow, like let's move to PEI, I'd be like, yeah, let's go, let's pack.
So I can't say I really dwelled on where I would be.
I more thought of myself freelancing.
Like I had a passion for traveling at high school.
A friend of mine who was in the same grade as me had talked about doing like military nursing, like something extreme.
And I've always wanted to do uh mercy ships that go along the african coast so i didn't really think about where i would settle it was more about like where would i be going what would i be seeing what would i where would i be traveling so but i can't say that i ever pictured where we are today in this small northern alberta town i i mean we visited but i always left thinking like i could never live here and here i am raising a family but what about you did you ever picture yourself ending up in this small town
no So where we live now is about seven hours north of where we grew up.
And first of all, it's colder than all get out up here.
Like the winters are so brutal.
So long.
And so we used to come like in March, usually for the church hockey tournament.
Um, and we, yeah, it's like, it would be like, oh, fun for a weekend.
But they had like, our town had like no McDonald's, no Tim Hortons, no Starbucks, no nothing, no mall, no hot tub in any hotel here.
Not one.
No, no.
And so, yeah, we were like, oh, fun for a weekend, but yeah, could never live here.
Or we'd come for like a church study weekend.
And the community that that happens in, it's even more north of where our town is and just in the middle of absolutely nowhere.
