Our first question comes from diamond rice who asks what do new digital payment methods like pays, for example, have to do to surpass the likes of Google pay, Samsung pay and Apple pay.
Advertisement doesn't seem to work and only promos like the current 10 transactions get $10 off per card.
Got some popularity, but how do they expand from that? RJ, let me throw it to you first on this one.
So I think this is a difficult position for the payment methods like pays to be in, right? Apple pay, Samsung pay, Google pay or on phones, right? They're phone based.
A lot, right? Every time I'm out of my house and it's an option, I use it partly because of security, right? It's just more secure in ways than just typing my credit card in.
I think that's...
Things like Pays have that uphill battle, but there are things like Stripe, things like, I think it's Shopify, like that you have your cord saved in and as you're doing online checkout, they pop up.
I use those just simply because I had to sign up for it once to shop somewhere.
And then it just is now, it's
Yeah.
So I think it's just got to be on enough websites.
So I think you just have to get big enough through those mechanisms to where people are just like, oh yeah, I have pays.
So I'm not going to use, actually go find my wallet and get my card.
I'm just going to do the path of least resistance.
It's never going to be as big as Google Pay or Samsung Pay because those are almost a different category in terms of what they actually are.
