Jester is visited by Charles and a repentant Iron Oath. Izzie and Jace go to continue the investigation at the Martial Arts Academy, picking up some details that were missing from before. Aspen has a…
Well, let's give everyone the big old scoop of what's happening with last week's episode recap.
Last week, we saw Jester, after being put on room arrest, house arrest, following the whole incident at the field, was finally released, proven innocent of any wrongdoing.
But could she actually accept that within herself, having felt like she had embarrassed Charles and screwed everything up with her being in Vermont? Luckily, they have a therapist on staff by the name of Artie, who came for a visit and reassured Jester that not only did she do nothing wrong, it's pretty typical in Garou society to have disagreements for every now and then for individuals to lose control, and that- Charles was not in fact upset with her, but was more worried about her wellbeing and that she was doing okay, which all of this combined put Jester at a sense of ease and was able to help recover from whatever guilt she had started to feel.
After that, we saw Jace and Izzy meet up with Skeeter at the Split Helm to have a little bit of discussion about the current state of things, as well as hearing what's going on with the vampires and much, much more.
But it was a nice formal introduction for Isadoro to the Farah known as Skeeter, as it had been kind of vaguely glossed over in their last meeting and not really introduced directly.
Then we saw Aspen meet with Charles to check in about everything that had happened to maybe, you know, see if everything was okay following the breakdown at the training field, as well as to see where Charles's head was at in regards to all of this.
Still to be determined as there were some arguments made for Charles to take the throne and what it could mean, the constant conflict going back and forth as to what would be best, not just for Tampa, but for the nation at large.
Then after the break, we saw Jason Thorn square off with Edward Bateman for the first time as they had a discussion, and Jason gave a warning about the movements of the Cult of Fenris and how they had some intentions to attack the vampire's property.
You know, being a good neighbor and all that.
But in typical Jason fashion, he had to tease around the subject rather than giving the direct information, which led to Edward Bateman potentially making some moves.
It's very hard to say for sure, as all Jason knows is that he really kind of zoned out during the conversation at one point, but I'm sure nothing bad will come of that.
Then we saw Izzy called with an urgent message to go to the St. Pete Defense Arts Academy to meet with Javier.
It seems the academy had been broken into and vandalized at, as had most of the strip mall in what looked to be some sort of rebellion protest.
There was spray painting and markings claiming no kings.
It seemed very kind of destructive and almost violent.
But the investigation didn't really turn up anything of note, except for the fact that there was a cop on premises that allowed Izzy to use his new ability, having officially been inducted to the Pack of the Evening Star, where he was able to scent the true form and determine that this cop was a ghoul, which makes one believe or wonder were the vampires at all involved in this process.
That will have to be discovered through further investigation.
And then finally, we saw Aspen and Jester meet with Fjord, also known as Stoneword, to get an official kind of interrogation, which did clear them of any wrongdoings, but also revealed a little bit about Stoneword and where he stood on matters regarding the court and the politics of the court, seeming to be a very neutral party, but having his own personal feelings.
It was also revealed that Stoneword is a Get of Fenris, not Cult of Fenris, having stayed behind while the rest of his tribe, or at least a majority of his tribe, had left, choosing more fiery pastures, I suppose.
Uh, he had remained behind, still loyal to Wolf and still loyal to the nation, and it was revealed that Wolf hasn't gone anywhere, that Wolf is still around, and that they are taking a very cautious path in the matter, which was not to the liking of the members of the Cult of Fenris, who chose to follow the avatar of Fenris instead off to war.
Intrigue is building both in Tampa and Vermont, so let's not waste any more time and just jump both feet in first as we return to Vermont, where Jester Silver Tongue has a interesting encounter with someone that was previously considered an enemy.
Let's see how that all unfolds.
