The 2026 Connecticut Catholic Men's Conference

I'm Morgan Cunningham at Spotlight Connecticut WTIC News Talk 1080.

Our guest is Ken Santopietro.

We're talking about the Connecticut Catholic Men's Conference.

Ken, you've gone to all of these over the years, haven't you? Right,

that's right.

Yeah, so this will be number

19.

How has it evolved over the last 19 years?

Well, the formula for a men's conference is very basic.

You will bring in three or four very good, top-notch Catholic speakers from around the country.

The more famous, the better.

You have a mass, and then you also have a room with exhibitors and vendors, other people that are sharing with all of these men what they're doing in the faith.

And then the fraternity of all the brothers in Christ that attend.

And that's the real secret to it.

Matter of fact, the evolution has been that I wanted to help build this up, you know, that there should be more men's conferences around the country.

And so upcoming, what we did right before the pandemic, actually, we founded a holiday in October.

It's six weeks before Advent starts in the fall.

It's called Catholic Men's Conference Day.

And on that day, I just asked people to see if they could investigate going to a men's conference and if they could find a listing somewhere where they were traveling or where they lived.

It's for anyone in the country.

They can go to that website if they're curious at cmcday.com. And I know there's actually a listing of over 70 Catholic men's conferences around the country.

So the Brotherhood is not just Catholics, it's just not here in New England.

It's all over from California to here and all over North America.

Then if this is not necessarily something that's happening only in Waterbury, if someone goes to this event in Waterbury, should they expect it to be locally focused, nationally focused, internationally focused? If they go, what do they get a taste of?

Well, it's for you.
