I would like to point out That keen listeners of the pod will have heard Dane say in our preview, it's going to be hot because the whole thing is in southern Spain and the end of August and early September.
But what have been sort of the outcomes of this over the weekend? And specifically, who's being vocal at the moment about this particular issue?
Well, we've had, I mean, I think the Thursday and Friday stages end of last week broke records for the hottest stages at the Welter.
And then with no respite expected over the weekend, first of all, the jury, I don't know, you know, they opened up the water and food provision from start to finish when usually there's a cutoff 10 to 20K to go.
But then on Sunday, they actually did something more material and cut a whole 80 kilometers out of the stage.
They did also postpone the start by two hours, two and a half hours, I think, which meant that they were still racing in the, you know, in the fiery chasm of, I don't know, Southern Spain.
And yeah, I mean, Matthew Brennan in particular, who is good for a quote we're learning.
Sometimes he gets the media training bit done perfectly, but other times he really gives us the goods.
He referred, to read out, he said, on here, the quote begins, and he's referring to his bike computer.
And at that point, you start to think, what are we doing? He then made the point that, you know, well, he's doing his labor in these temperatures.
But office workers, normal office person, which I like the idea of because that's the only way that a professional cyclist can quantify people who don't ride bikes for a living like a normal office person.
