Is Montreal hard enough? Is that climb hard enough that we start looking at all of the other sort of top riders on that list that have, like, done something at a Grand Tour, for example? A- and I'm not necessarily, necessary, necessarily saying for a victory, but to put them in the sort of the same category as Paul Seixas, which is like they're unlikely to, to be dropped, right? Like, if I look down this list, is, i- are your Felix Gall's an interesting name? Is Florian Lipowitz an interesting name? Is Giulio Ciccone an interesting name for Sunday?

So on that note, Felix Gall, the guy who finished third at this Vuelta, second at the Giro earlier this year, is going to Little Trek.
S
43:42Spencer MartinHOST
He's taken as his best mate, Gregor Molberger, who was great.
S
43:45Spencer MartinHOST
He was great all year this year.

Uh, and we have additional updates on that at this point.
C

Uh, so Felix Gall is now formalized-

A little, but not a lot
C

... a little.
C

We're getting a little more now, now that there's also Felix Gall, right? And I think Skjelmose is just sort of sitting there going, "Guys, I'm here.

And Matthias Sklmoza, who was the source of what we were hoping to be a bunch of drama between himself and Juan Ayuso.
C
16:16Caley FretzHOST
But we haven't really gotten it.
C
16:18Caley FretzHOST
A little, but not a lot.

Episode 183: Michael Barry is a Cyclist, Through and Through
T

Enric Mas adopted the leader's jersey.
T
1:29Ted KingHOST
And outside of Primoz Roglic passing Felix Gall on GC, courtesy of a strong TT by the Slovenian and a pretty expected mediocre TT by Gall, general classification didn't change otherwise for all intents and purposes.
T
1:44Ted KingHOST
I think one of the best takeaways from this Vuelta is how strong Wout van Aert is right now.
T
1:49Ted KingHOST
He is storming, which presents a wonderful bit of drama for the Belgian national team, presumably with two co-leaders now, Wout and Remco.

G

Yes, we've got some great riders coming, some great replacements, but, uh, you know, it's, it's, it's gotta be...

And as we saw at the Vuelta, all right, it didn't fall Felix Gall's way, didn't it? Because Enric Mas really seized the opportunity before anyone really was thinking about the opportunity once Pogacar crashed out.
L
10:29Lionel BirnieHOST
But, you know, Gall...
L
10:33Lionel BirnieHOST
I wonder if he's kicking himself slightly because he was really reacting to Pogacar, one of the first to react to Pogacar in those early mountain stages in the Vuelta.

stage 18 was it it was
G
8:13Gary FairleyHOST
late on wasn't it yes it was the stage 18 time trial went into that with in fact Roglic had dropped to third there were 2.10 on Roglic and 2.6 on Felix Gall and we're thinking yeah it's going to be tight you know expected him maybe to ship a minute or so and I think in the time trial ultimately it was well just check Eric Maas 51 seconds it was what 42 43 seconds yeah in fact it wasn't even that it was 33 seconds And I think coming out of that, you know, you finish 12th, you finish behind the guy that was fourth, a guy who is a really, really good time for us.
G
9:03Gary FairleyHOST
I mean, that must have been just like a weight lifted off his shoulders at that point, knowing that we still had, you know, the weekend stages to go.
