Benny gets triggered when Sto challenges him to shed 10 lbs
So I'm going to open with the first question, even though it was your challenge.
And what prompted you? I mean, I guess you kind of told me, but for the audience, what prompted you to give this challenge in this way?
You had made multiple comments about like wanting to lose weight or you're like, oh, I feel like heavy.
I haven't been eating healthy in a while.
You'd made a bunch of comments.
And as we know, sometimes the show's a nudge.
Right.
So I was like, oh, Benny's brought this up a few times.
So that was one part of it was like, OK, Benny's mentioned it a few times.
So maybe he wants a nudge.
The other side of it is I actually think there's a lot of fodder for conversation about how does one go about it? Because it's not really about like some sustaining statement on your weight or anything like that.
To me, it's also like, wow, if I had to crash and do 10 pounds in a week or like an extreme amount of thing, what is the most extreme thing I could push my body to doing? And to me, I thought that would be very interesting.
And so I think probably one of the areas in life that this comes up where you're trying to drop weight quickly would be in something, a sport that has weight classes.
Like high school
wrestling.
Like wrestling, boxing, something like that where it's like, oh, I've got to get up or I've got to get down a weight class.
So were you in the gym wearing one of those like kind of plastic or, you know, the rubber jumpsuit running in circles in a hoodie sweatshirt in a hundred degree gym trying to drop the last four pounds of water weight?
Like loud and swaying and vision quest.
Exactly.
That was what I was visioning envisioning was that quest.
So the thing that grabbed me first, and I think I said it at the end of the episode is like, I do have some knowledge around weight loss and what weight loss is supposed to look like.
And we Googled it right after the episode and two things.
One, it says, if you're trying to lose weight, like an achievable, healthy goal is one to two pounds a week.
Yeah, but that's like a sustainable, responsible thing.
We're doing an irresponsible thing
