Sounds Like Fun with Benny & Sto
Sep 19, 2026 · 1 hr 1 min · 16 segments
Inspired by Alison Jones, the show becomes a group thing when Sto has to rally the listeners to help complete his latest challenge.
Yeah, well, you've been traveling and I've been trying to recruit friends and family to join us in a family challenge.
So this is an interesting thing because for a while we've tinkered with and people have suggested, why don't you challenge other people to do things? Why don't you bring in guest challengers to come up with challenges for you? But we've really just kind of maintained our duality, if you will, and really stuck to the dynamic that originally the show was founded on.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of that is logistics.
It's easier.
It's a controlled environment.
We know that we can do it if we force each other.
So there are questions around how do you go about bringing other people in, even if they're willing to be a part of it.
Yeah, and I think even as we've messed around with it and talked to other friends, right? Some of our friends and listeners are in other states, whether or not we can bring someone in and just, you know, hey, listen, we've developed a really nice chemistry here around this microphone.
We don't want to mess that up.
Yeah, you know, if it ain't broke, as they say.
Exactly.
And yet, you know, one of our listeners, the few, the proud, Allison Jones, posited that I want to get involved.
I want to be a part of this.
And how can you make that happen?
First, I want to say thanks for shouting me out on the Sounds Like Fun podcast.
What an honor.
I started listening to you guys and it was kind of at a time where I needed a little push to get out of my routine and start trying new things.
And sometimes you just need... a partner in crime or a group of people to kind of push you to get out and do things.
And I think we all want to have a little more play in our lives.
Anyways, listening to you guys, I'm like, gosh, I want to go do the things that they're doing.
All right.
You know,
bring in do a family challenge.
Yeah.
And I think, you know, what we've gained from the podcast and we always talk about sort of the genesis of this was stage in life.
