What Does Flores Have Up His Sleeve Next?

moving forward? Well, I mean, obviously a lot.

I mean, there's a lot to break down from the game itself.

But I think the biggest thing that stuck out to me was the sly devil that is Brian Flores.

And let me explain.

I think that what he did against the Packers is a statistical anomaly.

intentionally put in to throw off the rest of the season it is chum in the water it is deception at its finest it is cliched chess not checkers so let me explain here i was losing my mind in the game i'm like why are we blitzing so much like what is going on everybody knows that jordan love is fantastic against the Blitz, especially when he knows the Blitz is coming.

And we saw it play out in the game.

We were blitzing.

Literally, it seemed like every play.

I think at the end of it, when you totaled all up, it was like 80-some percent or something in the first half.

It was 70%-ish in the second half.

So cumulatively and on average, it was like over 70% for the game.

That is bananas, right? Think about that.

Almost three-quarters of your plays that you are, of passing plays, you are blitzing.

And Jordan Love was killing us, killing us.

We can go into that if we want to later on, like what was going on.

I kind of, after I watched the film and I get home and I'm starting to ruminate on all this stuff and I'm looking back and I'm like, man, did we ever blitz even close to this much at any point in time last year? No, not even close.

You know, I think our highest blitz rate last year was the second to last game of the season against the Lions.

We blitzed, what's the stat? 65% of the time in that game.

That's a high rate.

everything else was in the forties, fifties, some, you know, some like low, low, low sixties, right? You go back to last year's first game against the bears.

We only blitzed like 35% of that game.

So I'm like, what's he doing here? There's gotta be, there's gotta be a reason for all of this.

And I, I think that he's just trying to show the Chicago Bears of this week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.

I think he's trying to put everybody on alert that we're coming.
