Angels: Going Beyond The Wings

Before I say what we're talking about, Claudia, I want to paint a picture for you.

If I said I'm imagining a being that's beautiful, covered in white robes with a halo on top of their head and wings on their back, what image would you say I'm describing?

A guardian angel.

An angel.

Yes, that's what we're talking about today are angels.

That's something you and I have connected with personally.

And a lot of people we know can relate to having angels as guides, messengers, protectors, right? Right.

And we might not realize we connect with them.

Well, I know for myself, I connect with them on a regular basis.

Yeah.

And from having a religious background, that was something that was introduced to me at a very young age.

Yes.

And there are different roles that play in our life.

Yes.

So before we get into talking about angels, I do want to just note what we're sharing today is just from our own personal beliefs, experiences, perspective, and maybe what we've also shared with other people in our lives.

That's not to say that our perspective is the only perspective on angels.

There's many ways to look at this specific type of being.

And there's many ways to connect with them as well.

Fun fact,

the word angel that we use in English actually comes from the Greek word angelos, which means messenger.

I should say ancient Greece, but...

Yeah.

Angels are typically seen as messengers, divine messengers in a sense.

They are typically found in more religious settings like Christianity, Islam, Judaism.

But in general, they're seen as divine beings.
