Ep. 13: How to hear your intuition when fear and self-doubt get loud

And And the thing is that in the Western world, we have learned to use the mind for all decision making.

So often we have our mind saying one thing and often that's the fear as well, like overthinking, trying to plan everything into the detail.

And then on the other side, we have our intuition who is drawing us maybe in a different direction.

And it can be really difficult making that decision.

And a lot of people then tend to go with the mind because that's what we've learned here in the Western world.

And I assume you're also living in the Western world probably if you listen to this podcast.

But in school or in university, we learn critical thinking, we learn questioning, we learn structuring, planning, thinking ahead, which are all really beautiful and great qualities and skills to have.

But if we use only the mind to make all of our decisions, there is a big chance that we build something that is misaligned.

Because our intuition is here as the gateway to our soul, the gateway to our potential, to why we actually came here to this world, why we came down to this earth.

And when we only use the mind, we neglect the actual path that is unfolding in front of us.

So the intuition is actually the one that is guiding us, not the mind.

So also when we look into yoga, for example, the mind in yoga is a tool.

And in the Western world, we use it as a direction.

But if we make that switch and we use intuition as our direction and the mind as the tool how to get there, then that's when it becomes really powerful and we can create that soul-led business.

Because in the end, the mind and the intuition have different agendas.

Our intuition, our soul wants us to expand, want us to live to our fullest potential, to experience what it is to be human, to go out there, to make change.

Yeah, to make new experiences.

And our mind is a tool to protect us.

It's the kind of like our parents basically trying to tell us not to do things, to be careful.

um to you know maybe play a bit smaller not to be too loud not to be too expressive try to fit in and all of that fear and and our mind in that way then tries to limit us and limit our potential not because our mind tries to harm us but just because that is its way of protecting us And our intuition is just pure trust, is pure expansion, is pure following that purpose.

And those two things often can not go as much hand in hand.

So the way how we can then build in soul at business is to use that intuition as our north star because our intuition often doesn't know how.

Our intuition just know that's it.

And then the mind can come in to build out the plan rather than the mind giving the direction.

And then we are neglecting the intuition.
