Um, let's go to- What is Solio? Because there's a lot of new people, it's a new season, and, uh, not many people would have heard of Solio, and we need to get rid of this reputation of analytics and what is it, what is it doing? Is it, you know...
How, how can we use it? It's not for everybody.
And, and at Solio we do think that analytics is for everybody because, yes, football is a game of opinions, it's b- uh, it's a game of, uh, you know, beliefs, but actually Solio lets you input your beliefs into the data.
And how you do that is you actually get to change what you see.
Uh, it's not just that if you think that Cole Palmer's gonna be the top or the golden, uh, boot winner this season, that you can't do anything about it.
You can actually change stuff in here where you can say, "Okay, I think Co- you know, Chelsea's great.
I think Cole Palmer's gonna do 60% of their goals, and therefore I think he's great." So I think if the more you play around with Solio, the more you'll understand that this is a tool to essentially help you even more so if you think you know football, if you think you know expected minutes.
So I think if you do want to, you know, have a dabble, fpl.solioanalytics.com is where you can do that.
There's an excellent free tier, and we'll talk about the pro tier as well later down the podcast.
But it's just something that we think everybody should be using as, um, as a toolkit.
Johnny, anything to add?
Yeah.
I think the way we tried to build it was really build it as like a, a framework.
So obviously, you know, we've done a lot of the, the work in the back end for the, the heavy lifting.
If you do want to rely on our projections, we think they're very strong, but we built it in a way that it is meant to be, I believe these teams are this strong, and I can model that, and I can build my own thing, and I can turn those beliefs into a, a plan.
Because actually I think sometimes what people find frustrating is sometimes they'll have a really strong idea about a certain player, but then they can't execute the plan that best follows that.
Um, so we really wanna help people with, with things like that.
Um, but yeah, lots of good data in there as well if you want to rely on us for that too, but yeah, not a necessity.
Um, we think it's good that people have their own opinions, and they should be able to express those as well.
And at the heart of it for, for the newcomers, Solio essentially is a...
It helps you make those decisions, right? So you...
We have a budget, we have a number of players, so the iterations where you can go is so many that you...
You know, I like to think of it like a calculator.
Like, you have somebody who can help you calculate these decisions and narrow them down, and it's...
You know, I used to have an Excel when I used to start when, uh, 10 years ago or 15 years ago, and what I used to do is essentially map out fixtures of who are, who of my players have the easiest fixtures? Oh, now these guys have bad fixtures, now I need to transfer them out.
