I always find that Pasuk interesting because it speaks about how don't think about what was, was always better.
In Eicha, we're saying we should make our days like they were before, presumably because the days that we had were better than the days we have now.
But if you were to reconcile it, you could make the argument that Eichai is talking about a specific point in time where it was better, while Korot is talking about a more general approach, saying we usually look at the good old days.
