A massive test this Friday evening when we take on the Kangaroos up in Cairns at Gazali Stadium.
And you spoke about our skipper, Emily Bates, going down with a season-ending knee injury.
And we know that Bates, unfortunately, has had it confirmed that she has torn her ACL.
And it was really devastating to see that, Liam, because we know that Emily Bates is such a heart and soul player for the club.
We know that she has done a tremendous job since becoming skipper of the team.
when you you said you know when she went down you could hear a pin drop you know it's very unfortunate we send out our best wishes to Emily Bates as she starts their slow road to recovery and you know one of her teammates in terms of Emily Everest Sherpa has also gone through that so the two of them I imagine will spend a bit of time together in that rehab group which is It's unfortunate for both of them, Liam, but I guess at the same point, it's also quite fortunate for both of them that they will have someone there with them because I know from talking to some of the players, when they are in the rehab group, it can be one of the loneliest places in the world when you're there by yourself.
It's a shame that we've got two of our star players who are in that group, but I'm sure that both of them will be able to push each other in terms of their rehabilitation and get each other back on the park as soon as possible.
Yeah, it's hard to think of a more professional and diligent player from observations and what we hear than Emily Bates.
And yeah, hopefully her rehab goes well.
But yeah, I just want to attach my name to extending our best thoughts and wishes to her and hopefully her rehab and surgery go well.
