How was the week surrounding that at the club and then how has she been to play with alongside as well? Obviously one of the AFLW's greatest ever players.
Yeah.
I think she was one of the first girls to make me feel super welcomed from day one.
I think I've just watched her play over the years now and I think she's just a great footballer, but also human.
So it's really, it was just lovely to be able to support her for the whole week and have it like all the glory and spotlight on her because she honestly deserves it.
She's had an amazing career and, And I think just reflecting on all she's done so much for women's footy.

Hopefully, and just you as a younger player, obviously, you know, growing up now, I guess kind of having been able to see an AFLW from mid to late primary school, I'm guessing trying to work backwards here.
How was it playing alongside someone like Emily Bates or those players who've been there from the start, you know, who really kind of laid that foundation? How much does that kind of mean to you, I guess, because they would have been like your first real role model, say, showing you that you can do it too.
Yeah, it's honestly just like shocks me a little bit still when I think about the girls I've been watching growing up as a little girl to now that I can like not only play with them, but play against them.
It's like, wow, like it's something that's so cool and it just makes me love the game more knowing I can run out alongside Batesy and Cassidy and then play against the girls.
Like first seeing Crows girls last week, knowing that I've watched Crows them growing up and yeah like I think it's just something that's so cool but also helps me develop my game being able to use their experience and get like the insights and just seek feedback from them like it's honestly something that's so cool and I love.
Now you've talked about the impact of Emily Bates already but are there any other players who particularly took you under their wing after you joined the club especially having you know moved interstate at less than a week's notice?
