Pop Culture Roundup w/ Rebecca + What To Watch This Week + Taylor Swift

Uh, tonight, uh, what is it, like ten fifty-two right now? Watched a lot of TV tonight.

We watched the, uh, MTV Music Awards.

Gonna have some thoughts about that in a second.

Um, and, uh, I did go get-- I did go see Prime Time, the new Lance Oppenheim film with Robert Pattinson.

Um, you know, I was talking about this, you'll hear me talk about it with Rebecca, and then after we finished, we actually went to The Grove, and Romy and her shopped, and, uh, I went and saw Prime Time.

She was like, "Why don't you just go see it?" 'Cause I was gonna see it later at night.

And, uh, I wanna collect my thoughts more about it.

I enjoyed...

I mean, I think it's a great film.

Uh, I, I think Lance Oppenheim, how he shoots his fi- I, I love the way this man moves his camera and the lighting.

I think it gets lost a couple of times.

This is not about...

I mean, To Catch a Predator obviously was about pedophiles and catching pedophiles.

This is, I mean, this is what w- th- the surroundings of this film, but the film is not about pedophiles.

And I think that i-is, you know, it's more of an indictment on, uh, Hollywood and, and there's, uh, more, there, there's so many different elements to this story.

I, I still wanna wrap my head around it.

There are two music cues in this film that I was, I was like, "Oh, God, this film is made for me." And if you've seen the film, guess which two those are.

I don't wanna ruin it for anybody, but I was like, "Whoa, whoa!" Um, all I will say, Counting Crows is having a really big year.

That's all.

That's-- I'll just give you that hint.

Um, but it was interesting.

Robert Pattin-- The performances were excellent.

Uh, Robert Pattinson, he is like, I don't know if he's this generation's Nicolas Cage, and, uh, but i- but actually more m- more movie star looks, if that makes sense.

But he gives just such w- uh, uh, really amazing, big, brave performances.

And I, you know, I used to make fun of him back in the day during the Twilight series, which I actually enjoyed, but, you know, I, I made fun of him.
