The Great Axolotl Disappearance

Now, where is Wheeler? It's about time for us to be getting on to our next mission.

[objects clattering] Ah, I spoke too soon.

There's Wheeler now.

All okay, Wheels?

I'm fine, but there's a crisis a-brewing.

A crisis? Where?

Down in Mexico.

My cousin Rico-

Oh, Rico.

We had such a fun time with him down in Mexico City.

How is his ballroom tap dancing going?

Ah, yes, uh, very well.

He's now known as the tap-dancing Chihuahua legend of Mexico City.

I thought he was done working with our dog detective agency.

He still freelance solves cases on the side, and this one needs solving.

What's happened?

All of the axolotls in the Xochimilco canals have disappeared.

The Xochimilco canals, we went there.

Yes, it's a tragedy.

They used to fill the canals and rivers of Mexico City, but now all gone.

It's very upsetting.

Um, wait, what is an axolotl?

An axolotl is a special kind of salamander that looks like it's always smiling and can grow back its body parts if it gets hurt.

Always smiling? Growing back body parts? Whoa, sounds cool.

Yes, but now they're all gone.
