Get excited the Dear Snarky Grab Bag is back! We’ve got four mini Dear Snarky letters to discuss and they’re a tad juicy. Then it’s a rant palooza about why in the hell are there still “cake smashes”…
Hello, hello and welcome to the Snarky in the Suburbs podcast.
I am so glad you're here.
We have a lot of stuff to talk about.
I know I say that every time, but I do.
And you know, every time I do a podcast and I get done, I'm like, "God, I'm gonna run out of stuff to talk about." Like, I, I gave it all.
I got nothing.
And then thankfully, stuff happens to me, you know, that I get to share, then I'm always chronically online, so there's stuff that I read or see, I'm like, "Oh my God, I'm putting that in the podcast." Now my husband just says when anything happens, "I guess it's going in the podcast." I'm like, "Damn straight it's going in the podcast." So we are starting with the Dear Snarky grab bag.
Couple episodes ago, I did just a couple Dear Snarky letters.
We talked about them, had some fun.
People liked it.
We're back to the Dear Snarky grab bag.
Then I've got rants.
Cake in the face.
Why in the year of our Lord, 2026, are we still having men shove cake in their bride's face? And I had to pause.
When I say men, I go, it is men because I have never seen a same-sex marriage, two women getting married, where, uh, there was a cake shove.
So I'm sticking very confidently with men.
Um, then I have an observation.
Can you be overly friendly to the point of rudeness? Spoiler alert, I'm gonna say yes, and I have an incident to share.
Then I have a Pilates near-death experience that was not taken as seriously as I believe it should have been.
Oh, and then from the confession from the Snarky Confessional.
I'm just gonna call it a whale of a tale.
Okay, quick drink.
I started this podcast 20 minutes ago.
20 minutes in, and then I have to start over because my dog is, like, being weird.
I'm like, "Oh my God." You can't have an unhappy dog.
So here we are.
Maybe it's gonna be better the second time around.
I have high hopes that it will be.
All right.
