On this week’s episode of Silicon Valley Impact, we bring together three leaders approaching that question from very different perspectives: Jorden Woods, Managing Partner at StarChain Ventures; Dr…
How do you see the readiness? I've done some work with Farrar's Money Group in looking at the intersection between AI and blockchain.
So I'm curious about the readiness aspect because we were building maturity models to actually assess organizations and their preparation process.
I mean, the thing that we said in the book is that there would be a lot of experimentation until there was regulation.
And so the regulation of the Genius Act last year for stablecoins has blown open that market from, you know, there maybe were millions or billions in transactions.
And everyone's building out a stablecoin network, meaning all the largest banks, SWIFT, world banking organizations, payment rails.
And so if you're gonna tokenize everything right there was this idea that you're just going to tokenize kind of ideas right concepts right and and that's more of what these meme coins or these tokens which weren't backed by anything, but now if you take a like all of the world's infrastructure, and you take, you know, stocks and bonds, you take commodities, you take deposits, you take money, you take real estate, you take all of these things, that's like $900 trillion.
of real world stuff that you can back, you can tokenize it and now you can do interesting things.
So people are beginning to see that and the opportunities for increasing wealth, decreasing time for transactions, reducing friction, all that.
And then if you're going to scale, AI can scale stuff really quickly and fast.
Maybe they're trading bots or you have others that are working with your payment rails or they're perfecting the regulation around a particular asset like real estate.
So there's now, we're still waiting for clarity, which might happen in two weeks.
But regardless, the US is already putting in the regulation, which may not last, but it's at least for this administration, so that there is coverage for anybody that's going to make an early move.
