Because when you do marriage and family, when you are working in this area, people will look at you and say, OK, so you are like a perfect marriage.

So and the same thing with raising kids, because we started just working with marriages.

And with the time we transition because kids come, you know, start growing and coming to our family.

So Marissa and I got married on December 26, 1994, after dating for a year and three months.

So we got to this beautiful country, and for the first time in our life, we felt... as human beings.

And for the first time, I live a life just feeling respected as a human being with dignity, which we didn't have back in Cuba.

Later, a year later, after my son was born, we started having a lot of problems in our relationship.

So it was the first time we were living by ourselves, the first time we were raising a child, the first time living in the United States.
