1\. Source that מעשר בהמה may not be sold 2\. We learn חרמים are hekdesh until they are given to the Kohen 3\. Who is permitted to eat a בכור בעל מום?
Okay? So, first, Shaima Ibai Elohu, they asked in the yeshiva, ma'u lav li'o ba'at samot? According to Rava's direction that we ended off the previous year with, that Havla, you can sell the Maisa meat through Havla, through soldering it up.
You're not actually selling the meat.
You're selling the bones for a high price and throwing in the meat for free.
Can you do that with the bones or is it only with the sinews and the fats and the horns, right? What's the issue with bones specifically? Bones aren't really sold, right? Okay, like fats you sell, horns you sell to make a kashofar.
Bones you don't really sell independently, you sell as part of the meat, that's one thing, but you don't really sell the bones in isolation.
Okay, so...
One says you can sell the meat via selling the bones at a high price through Havla with the bones.
The other one says you cannot.
They're going to explain it in two ways.
One says, the first way of explaining it is because the one who says it's prohibited to do the Havla trick with the bones is talking about small animals like goats and sheep where you don't really sell the bones independently and therefore Havla here doesn't work because everybody knows you're just doing a Halakhic trick.
But by oxes, and large animals where the bones are sold independently, then you can do a blah.
Why are the bones sold independently by oxes and large animals? Because you go and buy them to make vessels.
You want to make a nice bowl with ox bones? Be my guest.
Or some people say, no, they're both also, there's no makhlukah here, they're both talking about large animals.
But the question is, do you sell bones of large animals? And that's dependent on the minhag of the place.
In some places, in one place, they did sell the bones independently, and therefore you're allowed to have love with the bones.
In another place, they never sold the bones independently.
Because it wasn't so common to make vessels from bones.
And therefore Havla isn't allowed in that case.
