Today's daf is Daf Ches in Bechorot, Daf Ches, number eight.

We're on the second line, I believe.

That's where we left off yesterday.

Shalom, today's daf yomi is Bechoros daf Zayin, Bechoros 7.

Today's daf yomi tells us a dog tummy, let's say you have a non-kosher fish that swallowed a dog tar and swallowed a kosher fish, you're allowed to eat it.

And the reason is because obviously this fish is not part of the non-kosher fish and it was born from elsewhere.

[on-hold music] With the help of Hashem, we are learning Bechorot daf zayin.

We are continuing to learn the machloket between the Chachamim and R' Shimon.

If a Rochel gives birth to a full-fledged eis, right? We're speaking, we're learning the sugya of the mutant, then everyone agrees that there is no chiyuv Bechorot, even though both are of types of kedushas Bechorot, but that's the din that we exclude a mutant.

However, the Chachamim hold that im yesh bo miktsas, if the mutant child looks at least a little bit like its mother, then there is a chiyuv Bechorot, and R' Shimon disagrees with that.

And R' Shimon holds, as we learned, that miktsat simanim is not enough.

That when will we say that there's a chiyuv Bechorot if the child is a mutant? Only if rosh ve'rubo is like the mother.

And then the Gemara is asked, that's where we left off in that topic yesterday, that what will be the opinion of the Chachamim regarding heter or issur achila.

Now, in the Mishnah, we learned hayotze min hatahor tahor, full-fledged.

So we've been talking about the last few dafim, some of these animals were like, maybe the baby animal looks like a tame animal, even though it's been born to... a tahor animal and so there ends up being a very interesting discussion on today's daf and this has to do with an opinion of rabbi shimon who basically says that an offspring's head and the greater part of its body has to be similar to the kosher mother in order for it to allow to be consumed like to be eaten we're not even talking about the behorud issue but just whether or not it's considered a kosher animal And so the following question comes up.

Ibaro minatame, right? The brisa speaks of a kosher animal that's impregnated by a non-kosher animal.

One of the topics on our duff is the halakhic issue that animal products produced by non-kosher animals are also non-kosher.

So, for example, milk from a non-kosher animal is not kosher.

We need a drush for animals to teach you that you can't have the milk.

Now, the next part of the Gemara is one of the more famous Gemaras I know from Bechoros.

One of the few Gemaras I know from Bechoros.

Very few.

But the question is startling to us.
