**Hebrews 10:19-39 | Keep Going with Jesus** Introduction: Keep it or chuck it? 1\. Why we *can* keep going with Jesus (v.21-25) 2\. Why we *must* keep going with Jesus (v.26-31) 3\. Why we *will*…
Why is it that we even can keep going? Well, the good news is that our perseverance in the Christian life does not depend solely on us.
And so verse 21 begins, therefore, brothers and sisters, this is the conclusion of all that the author has been saying about Jesus in his letter so far.
The curtain in the temple, that physical barrier that served as a symbol of the spiritual barrier that separated us from God, the Berlin Wall, the dividing wall, a barrier, a division, never the two shall meet.
now through jesus sacrifice we can go through the curtain and not just can we go through we can go through and enter into god's presence with confidence so because of jesus blood we can belong with god and we can know with confidence that we can belong with god that's reason number one reason number two is jesus priesthood He says, not only is Jesus the perfect sacrifice that washes away our sin, but he is also the high priest who stands before God defending us.
And so there's the two reasons.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
You see, it's because we've been washed internally and externally, hearts sprinkled, bodies washed, Our new normal can be that we don't run away from God, but that we run towards him.
We draw near to him.
But now, because Jesus is our perfect sacrifice and our high priest, in every situation, we can actually draw near to him.
He will not turn you away.
He will listen when you pray.
And so we can keep going in confident faith.
