Many say it's okay to have doubts.

I wonder about that.

As I've said before, I have questions.

I have a lot of questions, but I don't have any doubts.

There are primary questions and there are secondary questions.

If you know the answers to the primary questions, even things that make no sense, make sense.

Such as bathing in the Jordan River seven times to be cured of leprosy.

And you can deal with things you understand and things you don't without jumping ship altogether.

The Lord did say, look unto me in every thought, doubt not, fear not.

Faith, it seems to me, is not going forward hoping and thinking there is probably a God and Christ may be the Savior, Joseph Smith may be a prophet, and the church may be true.

You are entitled to know those things.

How can you know the truth? How do you close the gap between your beliefs and the truth? How do you avoid deception? Hello, I'm Larry Korbrich and this is episode 28 of Stand Forever.

Again, you may understand this, but this series arises out of a message given that I gave at a BYU devotional in 2019 entitled Stand Forever.

So that episode, as I've said before, are critical pieces to a larger puzzle.

I then wrote a book based on that, which is the larger puzzle, a book that may never be published.

That, for reasons we don't need to rehearse here, led to this series.

All of that is to say that there's going to be some overlap, some overlap of what was heard, if you've heard it, in that BYU devotional and what we have to talk about here.

I'm just sorry that if we're re-plowing some of the same old ground, but it may be worth the re-plowing in any event.
