After a fatal shooting, Green Lantern, Hal Jordan and new recruit John Stewart set out to prove it was an extraterrestrial event.
It starts out in 1996 where a young John Stewart is watching a interview of hal jordan who is revealing his identity to the world and we also get an inkling that john is training as a child for becoming a green lantern by his father wasn't i mean it's borderline child abuse happening in this situation very borderline
I know that, I know they were trying to go from the William Tell, you know, aspect of things.
But it also, you know, they, they, they do like the, you know, I'm proud of your son for standing there and seeing all the bullet holes and stuff on the wall.
like the parallel because in With Hal, the whole question of, are you afraid? And his response, theoretically, we have no idea if he's lying or not, is that he's already lost a parent.
We don't know much more about his family situation, but there was no mom present that I could see.

And then like when the reveal happens, I'll be like, well, I already saw that coming.
