So forgive me for a bit of a long wind up here, but I want to make sure that everyone is on the same page from the outset.

We've got the developers who create the leading AI models, and then on the other end of the spectrum, we have the end users.

Yet, deployers, the companies, the nonprofits, the organizations that build on AI and integrate it into their operations are often neglected.

And that neglect has major consequences when it comes to diffusing AI across the economy.

To borrow from Dave Garland, managing partner at Second Century Ventures, quote, you can outsource a task to AI, but you can't outsource the accountability.

It's a pithy line that gets at the fact that someone is always going to be on the hook when a harm occurs.

The question is who? And right now, the failure to answer that question clearly and consistently is undermining something that most folks in the AI space claim to want.

The diffusion of safe, reliable tools that can allow us to solve problems, create new jobs, and empower more entrepreneurial activity.

I hang out with a bunch of law professors who are doing their best to come up with liability regimes to help mitigate that uncertainty.

But the world's moving a heck of a lot faster than the pace of law review articles.

And that's why I was so excited to have Bree and Rob on to discuss the launch of Pact.ai. And Bree, let's just start with a good old acronym in the AI space because everyone was just hungry.

What is Packed AI? And I want to hear the elevator pitch of what problems you want Packed AI to solve.
