What does it look like to manifest your future? Is it just thinking and dreaming + magic and hope or it is more? In this episode, we discuss the tactics behind manifesting your goals. While some of…
But anyway, we're here to talk about mental training, and I kinda wanna frame this episode in a specific way by asking you a question.
Getting your real-time reaction, because when people hear the word I'm gonna use in the question, I think sometimes they roll their eyes or think it's baloney or whatever.
But what we're gonna talk about today, from my perspective, is the tactics to actually make this thing happen.
So what do you think about when you think about the word manifesting or manifestation?
I absolutely think it's a thing, but perhaps not in the way that people think about it, um, when they reject it.
So this is off the cuff, but I would say manifestation is almost like a, a higher, like, order word that includes both visualization, statement of purpose and why, and action.
It's sort of like if you want, you, you wanna say you manifested something, it probably started with, let's say, a dream in your sleep or even a daydream of, like, "I kinda want something." But then that daydream, you, like, keep dancing with it a little bit and keep playing with it a little bit, and you, you start to sharpen it, and you're like, "I, you know, I want that," and you, you, you say out loud that you want it, and you keep working backwards.
"Well, like, how would I get that?" And you start almost inching into what would be mapping and planning, and so you're like, "I wonder if I could get that," and then, "What would I need to do to get that?" And then when you define what you need to do to get that, then you're like, "Could I take one small, little step?" So it's this holistic...
Like, to me, manifestation is not sitting alone in a room saying, "I'm gonna make my legs be able to break three in the marathon," and then just sign up for a race and expect it to happen.
It's, it's the holistic, like, you, you, you dream it, even if you don't know where the dream came from.
Maybe you start with a curious sense of wonder, and then you start asking how, and then you start planning, then you start mapping, then you start acting, then you s- then you commit to it until you get it, and you just never back off.
Yeah, I think you're, you're dead on, and I agree with all of those sentiments.
You know, when people, I think, roll their eyes at that word, they think of it in the, the sort of sense of, like, magic.
