You know, it's a holiday week for everyone but the people who cover celebrity weddings of this scale with the enthusiasm and interest that I do.

So I'm resting now and gearing up.

We're currently deep in Love Island.

She asked me, why do people care so much about Taylor Swift's wedding? Because she personally does not.

I'm curious for your answer about this.

Sure.

Two things.

Number one, Taylor Swift, one of the most famous people in the world with a very dedicated fan base that encompasses... young women and young women of all ages, you know, young women at heart, and also many other people.

And so huge fan base, and we still live in a society where people are very nosy about things such as wedding, marriage, and other exchanges of money clothed in the guise of fancy parties.

So that would be my basic answer.

My personal answer is that since we recorded last week and since you and I pretty confidently said we don't think the Madison Square Garden rumors are true, the New York Times came through with a five byline report saying, confirming many of the details, suggesting that there will be some sort of wedding-related extravaganza over two days at Madison Square Garden.

Permits have been filed with the city of New York.

Hotel reservations have been made in Times Square by Kansas City Chiefs players.

This is actually happening.

And I remain so mystified by the decision-making process of any one person to want to do this that I'm newly fascinated.

I'm back in.

I don't know what they're going to do next.

This is so foreign to me, so alien to my own tastes, interests, instincts.
