Norwegians

Because now whalers could actually hunt the fast-swimming, uh, whales like blue whales.

It was the Norwegians primarily who, who began the whaling around Iceland in the, in the late 19th century, primarily focused on blue whales, and they al- almost hunt- hunted them to extinction.

When you reach the, uh, the late 19th century, Iceland has started realizing actually that they could, uh, you know, benefit from this themselves if they started whaling.

And, uh, we can say that they learned from the Norwegians both how to run, uh, com, you know, whaling factories and how to, how to go about hunting whales.

They begin in 1930, the Icelanders, but that really doesn't kick off until about 1940.

Uh, and after that, Iceland has really, um, committed to commercial whaling.

Yeah, we had two Norwegians directing this one.

That's true.

Team, that team does not take well to losing.

Um, and so every single day, you know, there's a picture of the Norwegians celebrating, uh, that win in '95, and it's on the locker room door.

Every time we go out to practice, we go by it.

Sometimes people would punch it, right?

The Scandinavians don't know what to do about them.

The Norwegians are actually thinking of putting them on an island because they're not Norwegian.

How can you have a socialism of the tribe when people from other tribes show up? Even Sweden's having all kinds of problems with this issue.

They took refugees.

That team does not take well to losing.

And so every single day, you know, there's a picture of the Norwegians celebrating that win in 95.

And it's on the locker room door.

Every time we go out to practice, we go by it.

So we created this allied program, which is an accelerator that takes shared problems in national security, looks for companies in other countries that have promising technologies, and actually puts them through a multi-month process of turning them into a better company, helping them understand the problem better, but also introducing them to the folks in the United States who would take them on, whether it's investors or the government or something along.

Um, we've run that with the Norwegians twice.

Now we just started, uh, uh, we're looking at the third year.

Um, we're going to take on some Australian companies this year.

they will be pushing the pace.

They're going to have to try and break this up and hope that the Norwegians don't stick with that.

Because if they can get off on the climb, that is the Martin van Riel's, that is the Jamie Riddle's opportunities like they did in the fall.

Um, there is no Sam Lalo in the WhatsApp chat this time anyway, so they don't have to worry about his back cramping up.

Like, a Lazanese guard-priester might be with him.

He could stay with him on the bike and stuff.

But I think if he really pushed it, he could drop some of the Norwegians and get a bit of a gap on there.

We don't know how well he descends.

And that's how all these towns got started.

And when they came, there were immigrants, and the immigrants that come to Northfield were Swedes, Norwegians, Germans, and Bohemians, Czech Bohemians, primarily one at that time.

And then, of course, in this next century, there have been Latinos and others, also some Asians, but the Asian content in terms of symphony orchestra material is a little bit limited, so we weren't able to include anything.

But we have those other ones all represented in this concert.
