We have all known lying politicians.

Politicians lie all the time.

That's not unusual.

What is unusual is Jessica Killen, who is here trying to flip the fifth congressional district to blue from red Democrat from Republican.

It has been a Republican district since it was carved out in 1972.

And this would be a nationwide huge story if she were to win.

And it would be a blow to Colorado because if it weren't for the 5th Congressional District, the 4th, and the 3rd, there'd be nothing left of the old Colorado.

The one that values, traditional family, life, wants to protect children, wants school choice for children.

If we lose this district and our only representative for Colorado Springs and some of the surrounding suburbs is Jessica Killen, that will be a disaster for Colorado Springs.

This is a lobbyist who claims to be a local But she just moved back here like a tourist, bought a great big fancy house in the Broadmoor neighborhood so that she could run for Congress and try to take the fifth congressional district.

Now I've been, I was editorial pages editor of the Gazette for 17 years until last year.

And I've seen this community change quite a bit over those years.

I came down here from Boulder.

And my wife and our kids.

And it was strikingly different.

Now, it's not as different.

A lot of people from Denver have moved here.
