Most of the world's leaders are meeting in New York this week for the UN General Assembly, and yesterday we had President Donald Trump's speech, which perhaps unsurprisingly included a lot of very strong language about Iran.

Yet markets seem to believe that we could be moving towards some sort of breakthrough.
Um, a, a lot of this traditionally, uh, uh, is, is not very detailed, uh, from year to year.
Um, leaders come and outline general positions and, and everyone, um, agrees and walks away.
Reports that the Iranian side had basically, uh, put, uh, a possibility of opening the Straits of Hormuz within seven days if the US were to pull back its, uh, economic and shipping blockades.
The, uh, more particular, more specific issue was that, uh, US and, uh, Iranian officials, uh, mediated by the Qataris, uh, were meeting in New York around the UN meeting, uh, last night.
And so it added kind of, uh, credence to, to those reports earlier in the day that something, uh, some movement was going on.
Of course, the previous day, uh, President Trump had held out the possibility that he would meet with Iranian President Pezeshkian, uh, around at the meeting.
Uh, and now he speaks, uh, later today, uh, so perhaps there's some speculation, uh, about that meeting happening, uh, on Wednesday.
Um, and of course, we have the Trump-Xi meeting tomorrow, which, which is, is, is, is the highlight for many people.
