QUOTES from the episode: "We're not just checking boxes. We're helping builders build better homes." – Matthew Cooper "The conversation needs to shift from price per square foot to value per square…

Mara IngramGuestboth Matthew and Steve, you've been involved in thousands, hundreds of thousands of ratings in homes and seen a lot of this.
What's it been like for you? And I'll ask Steve first, did you ever think 5 million was a number you'd see when you entered this field?

So it's a number that is a fantastic milestone for the organization without question.

But in the day-to-day running of EnergyLogic, et cetera, I don't think about numbers like that.

If you'd asked me 20 years ago when we started EnergyLogic, I probably would have said no.

Actually, that number does make sense given the timeframe and the arc of the industry, at least where I thought the arc of the industry was at that time.

I still feel positive about it in spite of everything that has transpired over the past couple of years.
And you share this military background with Mara, and I love the way, Mara, you express your organizational skills and keeping your priorities straight and things like that.
Steve, from a Raiders perspective, how have things changed over the last 10 to 15 years in terms of technical complexity and reporting necessities? Has the job gotten more technically complex?

I was actually picking up a blower door, moving it into a house and doing that kind of day's work.

Okay, so just take that as like, wow, okay, we didn't even look at what was behind the drywall back.

The code environment is infinitely more complex and sophisticated and confusing to everybody involved than it was back then.
